kombis are generally regarded as minibuses for the transportation of people from one area to another. They are the most popular means of public transportation in Zimbabwe.

Most kombis pirating the roads in Zimbabwe are imported in the following forms:
- as panel vans which are later converted to commuter minibuses
- as commuter minibuses for the general people
- as minibuses for the physical challenged
- as ambulances for emergencies
- as (believe or not) hearses

Panel Vans
These are typically light vehicles principally designed for the transportation of goods. They typically have a seating capacity of 4 – 6 passengers including the driver. They come in various sizes depending on loading capacity or payload. Most Panel Vans made from European countries do not have rear side windows and have 2 doors opening at the back. In Japan most panel vans have rear side windows and have 1 door at the back. An example of a European panel van is the Mercedes Sprinter Panel Van with no rear side windows and 2 doors at the back. An example of a Japanese panel van is the famous Toyota Hiace panel Van, popularly known in South Africa as the Toyota Quantum panel van. The payloads for these vans range from 450kg to over 2500kg.

Ambulance Vans
These are vans which can transport medical patients to treatment and in some instances will also provide out-of-hospital medical care to the patient. Ambulances are used to respond to medical emergencies by the emergency medical services. For this purpose, they are generally equipped with flashing warning lights and sirens. They can rapidly transport paramedics and other responders to the scene, carry equipment for administering emergency care and transport patients to hospital or other definitive care.

This is the most informative post I have found, when most people addressing this won’t stray from the formulaic opinion. You have a way with words, and I will check back as I enjoy your posts.
I enjoyed this and found value in it.
I do agree with all of the ideas you have presented in your post. They’re very convincing and will certainly work. Still, the posts are too short for novices. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thanks for the post.
